Butterfly World Zoo treats and cares for over 700 animals and birds brought to us by owners and authorities to take in. The majority of the animals that come here are exotic creatures who need the hot, humid climate of the tropics. Butterfly World Zoo provides this unique setting, but it comes with huge costs. We rely entirely on the entrance fees collected at the gate. With no sponsorship or compensation from the state or any other authority, we are often faced with a very thinly sliced cake and would therefore appreciate your contribution towards keeping up the high standard of care the animals enjoy. We would also like to upgrade and improve the enclosures for the Burmese Pythons, the Anaconda, and the African Grey parrots. We are planning an insectarium and a separate display of small Geckos and lizards as well as a display area that will house indigenous reptiles which will not be able to cope in the wild anymore, but will do their bit to educate and enthuse.
So, if you would like to assist us in our endeavours to keep expanding and improving while maintaining our world class standard of care, feel free to contact us, or find the details on our donation form.
