Butterfly World Zoo teems with exotic animals and birds with colours, shapes and textures that are literally out of this world. Take the Green Tree Iguanas for instance. We now have 9 roaming freely in the garden. In their natural habitat, they would spend a lot of time in tree tops, feasting on a strictly vegan diet. Because Iguanas are food for some birds of prey they have been given another eye….on the top of their heads. It looks like a little dot and can “see” movement and shadows passing above it. Come see for yourself. They love swimming and can stay under water for up to 30 minutes. Using the flap hanging from under the chin, they are one of very few reptiles that can control their body temperature. By pumping blood through this thin flap, they cool their blood resulting In a drop in body temperature.
There is much more where this comes from, so follow and stand in awe!
Remember: Appreciate…don’t keep.
